Having successfully worked for many years as an Information Technology Manager, I realised my dream of running my own business and with lots of enthusiasm opened the Beach House in 2006. Situated right on the waterfront and with many large windows facing Lough Swilly it offered the ideal setting for my first business venture. We are now an established "destination restaurant" providing high quality food & wine in a relaxed and friendly setting. We continue to evolve with the opening of "Guild" our sister cafe, located in Derry's Guildhall. We were also delighted to receive the 'Georgina Campbell Casual Dining Restaurant of the year' award for 2013. Our success is based on the core principles of simplicity and quality, with genuine passion and customer satisfaction central to everything we do.
We base our menu on the food from our local area and use as much organic, freerange and artisan produce as possible. We source our Dry aged Donegal beef from Bernard Mc Carron in Raphoe and our chicken from Gerard Noone in Clonmany. Our fish comes from the boats in Greencastle. Our herbs are from our own garden & our organic milk comes from an Grianan estate in Burt. Our cheese celebrates the remarkable rebirth of Irish cheeses from small farms all over Ireland. We make our own bread and ice creams and use Donegal rapeseed oil in our dressings. We thank our valued local suppliers who have helped us to keep a high quality product on our tables.
